terrible ideas.

it was a terrible idea to go to my doctor's appointment today, optimistic, and pretty positive that i was going to be told the baby is ready to fall out, only to be told that my cervix is all but glued shut, and to prepare for another few weeks until we get to meet him.

it was a terrible idea to come home, "test out" my old jeans, only to find that its a struggle to get them over my thighs.

it was a terrible idea, in the midst of my depression, to impulsively bake these cookies. (although delicious...thanks wendy!)

it was a terrible idea to eat these before my yoga class. nothing worse than yoga on a full (of sugar) stomach.

it was a terrible idea to turn on the oven in the texas heat and humidity, leaving our entire home feeling like the devil's inferno.

whew...

luckily, my sweet sister amy is coming in town tomorrow. nothing like a little sister-time to brighten the spirits.

happy thursday. xo

I'm extremely excited to come! Cort emailed me and told me I'll be going from the "devil's basement in Arizona to satan's sauna in Texas.." haha.

Don't worry about the dotor...it's impossible to predict these types of things. I was dilated to a 4 and 90 percent effaced for THREE weeks...they kept telling me any day...yeah right. One of my friends never even dilated and her cervix never moved until she went into labor...so ya never know. Could be sooner than you think.

Good thing she has an air mattress to sleep on that you went through all the trouble of finding at an unfamiliar Costco! Don't be depressed. Your thighs will go down, although I don't believe they're big. Cookies are always good for babies. Your cervix will open like a beautiful flower when it's ready to - gross, I know. I know your anxious to meet baby Jacobe. He will be here soon! Everyone always says this and you usually want to smack them, but it's only a little bit longer you GET to be pregnant so just try to relax. I love you! You can always vent with me. I do it to you all the time. I know it's hard, but it will be over soon - trust me.

Hey!

You are getting so close. It's so fun. The waiting and anticipation is the hardest. I'd love to talk to you about natural childbirth. I'll have Darin text Cortney my number. You can totally do it. It's great. Well, great with a lot of pain!

I'm so glad I know what your blog is. I'm going to add you to my blog roll, too!

Laura! You bad ideas all sound like good ones to me. I am missing quite a few brain cells by now though. And you will be SHOCKED at how fast time goes by when they are out rather than in. Just embrace the cookie, sometimes, most times, it is the only pleasure a momma has....hmmm, maybe that's why my pants still don't fit and my babe is 7 months!
