right now, we're in...

so...yeah. i'm still in a bit of a state of shock over it, but the husband got offered a wonderful job opportunity in dallas, texas, so here we are. i'm trying not to be that person who talks about how much she misses southern california (which i do), and just go with the flow. from what i hear, texas has a lot of great things to offer and i know we are doing the right thing by moving here.

once we get settled, i'm going to do a much better job at blogging because i have lots to talk about, and lots to tell my few readers. plus...i'm bound to get some funny stories moving to a new city...i always do.

wish us luck. xo.

I think new adventures are always fun! Is it a permanant move for now? or just temporary??

That is a change from Southern California...but think about the huge house you will be able to afford!! Bu-by shoebox living! My parents have served as mission presidents in Fort Worth for the last 2 1/2 yrs and I'm here to tell you it aint all bad. At least you can stuff your face with blue bell icecream every time you start missing us. xo.

Hi Laura, it's Erin (and Jimmy) Shaha. I put your blog in my reader and just saw that you guys have relocated to Dallas. Not sure if you know, but we have been in the Dallas area for the last 2.5 years.

We are in Utah this week, but we'd love to have you and Cort over for dinner one of these days if your schedule permits.

Where are you living?

It's not So Cal, but we've learned quickly that there are things to love about Texas too.

Send me and e-mail and we can be in touch.

Hi Laura,

Hope you don't mind that I follow your blog. I have grandparents in Dallas and they LOVE it there and I LOVE visiting them there. It is such a fun and big city. You'll love it. I always love going to Luby's and getting fried okra. (Sounds gross, I know.)

I love that you two are experiencing so much together!

I hope you don't mind me following your blog. I stumbled across your blog when searching for another. Congrats on the move! I must tell you I was in a similar boat. I've lived in Colorado my whole life and I was offered a job in Phoenix, AZ so me and my husband moved about the same time you moved (beginning of March). So if you wanna talk about moving stories I can talk right there with you! Nice to meet you!

I lived in Arlington most of my life. Dallas is a fun place to live! Rather hot, but if you like that, then you'll love it there. People are very friendly unlike Virginia LOL If you like steak, check out THE TRAILDUST in Arlington. Family friendly, lots of fun, relaxed and the best steaks.
