taking some time off from my life in dallas (although it seems that i've spent just as much time in utah as i have texas these days) and heading off tomorrow for some very special events.
i'll be leaving without the husband, which is breaking my heart, as it also seems we are spending more time apart than together these days. not to fret though, we'll be reunited next weekend for a special wedding and a much-needed family vacation.
i doubt i'll be blogging during this time, but i'll be back with some stories and in the final stretch (and trimester) of my pregnancy. i can tell this summer will be flying by...
i leave you with a recipe for one of the new favorite treats around our house these days. when we can't find anything tasty in the pantry, we've eaten all the ice-cream, and we desperately need something sweet.
raw banana soft serve
2 whole bananas (frozen)
1/4 cup milk (cow, almond, rice or otherwise)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon (or for a twist, i'll add cocoa powder instead)
place in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. serves two. enjoy. xo.

Looks so good..something I would love right now. Have a great time on your trip.
Just stopped by to see what you're up to. I've missed a lot. Congrats on your pregnancy! You'll love being a mom. It's the best thing ever.
Here's my 2 cents on strollers. (Since you need more advice. :)) I'm only now getting around to buying a jogger stroller. I've loved my Maclaren strollers though. I used the Maclaren Easy Traveller at first. Loved it! Then I got the Maclaren double stroller, when number 2 came along. The Maclaren's fold up so small and are great for throwing in the car when you're on the go.
P.S. Bob's are 15% off at REI right now. Enjoy baby shopping.
hey girl!! do have a machine?? it's pretty easy.
*okay any pattern you want, i draw out the shape on regular paper or cardstock.
*next i pick my fabric and i iron interfacing to the back of it so it's more stiff and easier to work with.
*next i trace the pattern onto the interfacing and cut it out.
*the next step i iron a few strips of fusible 'stitch witchery' around the outside of the fabric
*next i iron the shape to the onesie. i use the 'stitch witchery' stuff so while i am sewing, my pattern doesnt shift.
*now sew! do a tight zig-zag stitch along the outside of the shape!
enjoy! i was trying to make them for my little man, but am ending up making them as gifts.... i have so many pregnant friends right now and they all want one! ha ha
have fun!!
xo
