over the weekend...

...we were woken up by some thunder and lightning. it's true that everything is bigger in texas, including the thunderstorms. it was especially startling after all the sunshine we've been getting these days. a nice break for our little garden, no doubt.

spent some time doing some much needed baby shopping on saturday, and it's safe to say that i have no idea what i'm doing. let's talk about strollers...anyone have a favorite? it's looking like i'm going to need 3 of them. one for everyday, one for jogging, and one for traveling? am i wrong? any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

these days, cort is lovingly referring to my stomach as the "belly-hut", as it is increasing in size by the hour. our little wee has gone from little kicks and nudges, to attempting somersaults across my uterus. it is highly entertaining. cort also surprised me yesterday with this little gadget...

i've watched my little sister create some pretty impressive videos with it, and i'm excited to try and ignore the fact that i repel technology, and come up with some myself. should be ideal once our little one comes along.

cort is in charlotte, north carolina for a couple of days, so hopefully by the time he gets back, i'll be able to turn it on.

happy monday. xo.

I like the chicco travel systems, about mid price range, the car seat is tested extremely well. As for joggers, I still havent found the one for me, let me know if you find an amazing one. And the everyday travel stroller for me... It became the umbrella stroller cause it is small and easy to haul around.

ok laura...look no further. the BOB REvolution is the stroller to get. you can get a car seat adapter too for when the babe is itty bitty. then the adapter turns into a snack tray for when he gets older. you jog with it, shop with it, travel in ease with it. TRUST ME!! it is the cadillac of all strollers, you will not be disappointed. it is well worth the price!!!

i don't know krista but i totally agree. ditch the travel system, it's a heap of money wasted plastic. get a bob with the infant adaptar and then get a nice mcclaren umbrella stroller for when you need something a little smaller.
...since you asked... hope all is going well. nothing better (although it freaked me out at first) then feeling your babe do sommersalts.

Love my peg perego for every day because it folds up small and doesn't take up my whole trunk. For travel I have a fabulous little Combi travel stroller.

Not that I have a kid but I look into these things all the time like crazy. I don't want to have to get 3 strollers so I think the BOB revolution is a great option, the Phil and Teds Vibe, Bumbleride Queen Bee is the most beautiful thing ever but they also make one that is more of a jogger style too.

I think that's what I'm going to get. We recently found out that our camcorder is apparently part of the Dark Ages. I cannot find the VHS-C tapes anywhere to save my life. It bugs me to no end that I have to get a new video camera because no one stocks my tapes and mine works just fine. I've heard lots of good things about the flips. Please get it figured out and then call me to walk me through it. I hope you recall that you had to setup my blog for me so I think I win the "who sucks at technology more game".

Oh, on strollers. I would just go for the jogger. They're very durable and sturdy and they're more money. You'll want to feel like you get good use out of it. They're just as big as a car seat/stroller combo so you're not goign to save room there. The dinky umbrella strollers aren't really useful until they're older because they'll just flop over in them. The joggers recline and have sun shades and lots of nice features. I had Grayden in ours at 4 weeks. He slept the entire jog! We take ours to the mall, which kind of sucks because it's big, but ours is a double-wide so that's a given.

Oh Ezra got me the flip for my birthday last December, and I haven't used it much yet... but he was planning ahead (for the new baby) so Im sure we will get plenty of use out of it!!!
So stroller wise... I've put Ezra on the job of finding the best decently priced stroller, and he says 100% BOB Revolution stroller... they are the jogger, so there bigger, but I think you can have it all in one, until the baby is big enough to sit in the umbrella stroller, the jogger is the way to go! We shall see what I end up getting, but thats what Ezra wants!

Definitely get the BOB! It is sooo worth the money. My midge loves it and we take it everywhere. I ran a 5k with Avery in it when she was 4 months old and she slept the whole time. We also had an accident where it flipped, ALL my fault and not the BOB's, and it protected her so well!! I also have a Combi travel stroller for quick little trips. It folds up to almost nothing, weighs almost nothing and is super cute too!! Good luck shopping!
